STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Word of God

​

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, verbally inspired in all parts of & therefore wholly

without error as originally given by God. The Bible is the final authority concerning truth,

morality & the proper conduct of mankind. It is the sole & final source for all that we believe.

The Trinity

​

We believe the unity of the Godhead, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son & Holy

Spirit; equal in every divine perfection & executing distinct but harmonious offices.

The Father

​

We believe in God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness, infinite in

wisdom & measureless in power.

Jesus Christ

​

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only son, and in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His

atonement for sin by His death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into

heaven, His high priestly intercession for His people & His personal, visible return in power

and glory.

Holy Spirit

​

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of

judgement, and who regenerates and baptizes, indwells, sanctifies and eternally secures each believer.

Men & Women

​

We believe that men and women were created for immortality, but that through the sin of

Adam & Eve this divine birthright was forfeited; that because of sin, death entered into the

world & passed upon all people; & that only through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ for

the remission of sin can one become a "partaker of divine nature" & have eternal life. We

believe that salvation is free to all, who by the grace of God turn from sin in repentance

toward God & accept in faith Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior.

Headship of Man

​

We believe that men & women while equal in God's sight concerning value, worth &

salvation, that God created them to complement each other & to fulfill different roles. The

role of leader in the home & in the church is the role that God ordained for men.

Consequently, the position of Pastor & Elder are to be held by men.

The Church

​

We believe that the church is a living, spiritual body of all regenerated people of which Christ

is the head; that the visible church is a company of believers in Jesus Christ, associated for worship, work & fellowship. We believe in observing the ordinances of baptism by

immersion & the Lord's Supper; & that it is the task of the church to endeavor to lead lost

people to faith in Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior.

Marriage

​

We believe that marriage is ordained by God & is the union of one man & one woman. Furthermore, we believe that sexual intimacy is reserved only for marriage between a man

& a woman

Sanctity of Life

​

We believe that all human life is sacred & created by God. Human life, at all stages, from conception to end of life, should be valued & respected.
